The Farm House - Available Now! |
Visit soon - before it's sold!
Our new Farm House has never been built before! It is a 1920's farm house reproduction built to compliment the many farms that you pass along Shady Grove Road coming to ShadySide from Danville. The Farm House is a custom design...and like all ShadySide Homes - you'll never see it built again in ShadySide. Unlike cookie-cutter builders all over the Danville market, you won't ever see us copy ourselves or anyone else. That's one reason ShadySide is so beautiful and such a great investment.
The Farm House at ShadySide is the 5th home ShadySide's developer, Ed Carter, has built for sale. This charming plan was custom designed for lot #2 on 1.43 acres. It is a faithful reproduction of a 1920s true 2-story farm house with 2,444 interior sq. ft. With 9 really fine rooms and 2 porches, plus an oversized garage.

Homes We've Built in ShadySide |
In 2005 we built Wiliam Poole's Edisto River Cottage. We love William Poole homes because they are ever so tasteful. When we built this plan we included a hand formed standing seam copper roof! We love porches! So we almost always include a great porch because in the south, there's no place as nice as a shady porch for spending the afternoon. |
this is also a unique Willam Poole design. Our Graphic Designer chose it for his ShadySide homesite. This home has 3 porches! |
This is the first home we built in ShadySide. It was designed by Donald Gardner. A physician bought it in 2004, and when she was transferred 2 years later she sold it for a $70,000 profit! In fact 3 homes in ShadySide have been sold by their original owners because of transfers. They all made great profits on their sales because ShadySide is a great investment neighborhood! |
We built William Poole's Chesapeake Bay House on Lot 27. This is one of our 5 waterfront lots which occupy both the left side of the street and all of the land on the right side of the street all the way down to the water! Imagine the views from their front porches, looking all the way across the pond! Lots 28 and 29 have the same views and are still available. |
This fine Donald Gardner Craftsman design home was built in 2005. It backs on to one of our two ponds, and its lot is 3.11 acres. The next picture shows you the rear from across the pond. Imagine the views from their two porches! |
William Poole designed this wonderful New England Cottage Reproduction. From the front porch the owners have an unobstructed view of the water. This home has 2 porches! When you sit on their front porch, this is what you see in front of you! |
This is a fabulous home located on Lot 19 backs on water. This picture shows how their home looks from the water below. |

New Home Under Construction |

A brand new home almost ready to move in to.
And a view of it form across the pond behind. |
This is the 2nd home we built for sale. It is a Donald Gardner plan called the Violet. The smaller photo shows how it looked in July of 2005 when we finished it - before it was landscaped. Just look at the fabulous landscaping 3 years later. |
